Ostertag – Riesling Les Jardins

Biodynamic. Riesling - 40 yrs old average vines - Vin de fruit. Blend of 15 different plots located around the village of Epfig. Soils are composed of volcanic sediments, quartz, and granit. This is a fruit-driven Riesling expression. Hand harvested. Aged 12 months on lees in stainless steel vats. Dry wine (2.5g/l).

Hints of tangerine, lemon and mandarin on the nose of this wine convey ripeness and freshness in equal measure. The palate offers melon juiciness edged with lemon, leavening ripeness with freshness.
The finish is dry, long and a total joy.
