Located in Cisterna d’Asti, Cascina Vèngore is a natural amphitheater in the heart of Terre Alfieri, a new DOCG (2020) representing the ideal synthesis of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato. The 26 hectare property, with 16 hectares devoted to vines, is a realm of biodiversity where organic regenerative agriculture prevails. Arneis, Barbera and Nebbiolo are farmed along the same principles in one single holding around a traditional Piedmontese farmhouse. It is managed by the young and dynamic Lucrezia Povero, whose family has vigneron blood dating back to 1837. Winemaking is non interventionist and the use of sulphites is judicious. The resulting wines are pleasant, elegant and fresh, yet juicy and full-bodied, capable of facing long aging and evolving in finesse and harmony.

Certified Organic. 100% Nebbiolo from a single vineyard. Hand harvested. Indigenous yeasts. Vinified in tanks and aged 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

Mid ruby with the beginnings of orange tinges. Attractive oak, lifted cherry and cranberry on the nose with a suggestion of tar and cinnamon bark. Surprisingly succulent for Nebbiolo; polished and generous, with long, soft, gritty tannins that build up on the finish. More ambitious than many Langhe Nebbiolo. 17+ Jancis Robinson

Very fragrant, vinous and alluring, with notes of fresh wild berries and cherry juice. Crisp and juicy on the palate, showing a savoury core of cherries, with delicate tannins, and a fresh vegetal finish.

Certified Organic. 100% Arneis from a single vineyard. Hand harvested. Indigenous yeasts. Vinified in tanks and aged 8 months on the lees.

Intense nose that leads with minerals followed by lovely ripe, lemon citrus, green apple, and yellow floral with delicate hints of honey. The ripe palate is creamy and dry with honeyed notes of floral, citrus, pear, and apple and subtle spice flavours. The acidity is perfectly balanced, with notes of oyster shells, lemon, apple, and pear lingering on the juicy finish, with very good length.
